Development of Legislative Tracking and Oversight Tools

With the aim of helping civil society organizations and groups to track and monitor the functioning and performance of legislature, CRCP is developing a set of inter-related and complimentary tools. Written in the form of guidebooks, these tools, it is hoped, would greatly enhance the capacity of CSOs to understand how legislature functions and how civil society and ordinary citizens can influence these functions. The tools developed so far include:

• How to Access Information under the Freedom of Information Ordinance (2002)  
• Good Qualities of a Legislature-A Checklist
• How to Contact Federal and Provincial Representatives
• An Annotated Bibliography on Pakistan’s Legislature and the Constitution
